Assignments for the Week of October 27

Monday: I will not be in class today. You may use the period to work on homework, projects, or to study for tests for your regular education classes.

Tuesday: There are two websites listed below. The first one is a picture of the 27 Waterfalls in the Dominican Republic and the other is of The Great Wall of China. Neng, you will write a picture prompt response to the 27 waterfalls picture. Gilbert, you will be writing one for The Great Wall of China picture. Here's the catch: the story must include some of the significant information you learned about the country through the presentations given last week. Therefore, your story should have something to do with being a teen in that country, schooling, food, family traditions, holidays, etc. Have fun! You will have the period to type your response.

Wednesday: Pair and Share responses to the picture prompt. You will edit, revise, and make any necessary changes to help your peer with the picture prompt. Correct any information that might be incorrect about your country.

Thursday: Math Day! You will receive a list of math terms today. You will define each term and create a paragraph using 5 of the terms correctly. If you finish early, you may use Study Island to do Math Activities.

Friday: Connecting with classroom teachers. Come prepared today with anything that will help you become a better student in your Math, History, Science, and English courses. See these teachers before today and ask for any extra work that might be helpful to you -- a few extra math problems to solve, a list of terms for History, a science lab that you need to work on, an English essay that needs revising...Anything!
